Indiana Farmers Insurance Named Big I Company of the Year

Indiana Farmers InsuranceCARMEL – Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company has been named the 2017 Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana Company of the Year. The annual award recognizes the company that demonstrates the strongest commitment to the independent insurance agency system in the state.
 
“We are honored by this award,” said Kim Smith, Indiana Farmers’ president and CEO. “It’s great to see that our vision to be the smart insurance choice is recognized by the members of the Big I.”
 
Indiana Farmers offers a wide range of property/casualty insurance products to its more than 240 independent agency partners throughout the state. Together with these agents, the company serves the owners of more than 160,000 policies.
 
“Indiana Farmers is one of the strongest advocates of the independent agency system that we have in our industry and is a long-time supporter of the Indiana Big I,” said Steve Duff, chief executive officer of the IIAI. “The Indiana Big I and our members are extremely fortunate to have companies like Indiana Farmers as our partners.”

Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company was previously the IIAI Company of the Year in 1998, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2008.
