Indiana Farmers Helps Make Wishes Come True

February 25, 2016

CARMEL, Ind. – I-29! B-11! O-75! With daubers and cards in hand, nearly 100 Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company associates, family members, and friends came together for a fun evening of bingo to help raise money for a good cause.

Once the final numbers were tallied, Bingo Night helped raise $2,662 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"We chose Make-A-Wish for our event because I think we all have been touched in some way or another by this foundation. Those of us who have known a child to utilize this program know how this amazing experience can brighten their lives," said Sarah Sievert, chair of Indiana Farmers’ Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Launched in 2015, the Corporate Social Responsibility program is designed to help associates not only give back to the communities they live in and the charities they support, but also for the company they work for to contribute as well through a Charity Match Program.

"Our hope is that the CSR program will give our associates a platform to make a difference in our communities as well as build comradery within our organization. We want our associates to understand that we support them and the charities they are passionate about," said Sievert.

"The money raised for Make-A-Wish through the generosity of all who participated speaks volumes as to the character of our associates here at Indiana Farmers," said General Counsel Buren Jones.

"It makes me super proud to be part of a company that gives back," said Alicia Peetz, client data specialist. "I love working here."
