Automation Test Engineer

Full-Time

Indiana Farmers Insurance, an A (Excellent) rated insurance carrier per A.M. Best, is seeking an addition to our Quality Assurance Team. The successful Automation Test Engineer candidate will have the experience and ability to develop and establish automated test scripts and testing processes.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Technical skills necessary for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing automated test estimates, test cases, test scripts, test processes, and testing frameworks
  • Managing, monitoring and enhancing assigned test automation applications, reports, web sites, systems and databases to ensure the departmental goals for quality are met or exceeded
  • Assisting with software application troubleshooting and technical diagnosis
  • Other data center tasks (which may include “non-standard” work hours), such as executing job procedures, completing nightly batch cycles, printing reports and other data center special requests.
  • Leadership skills necessary for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Test planning and test case reviews
  • Training new hires and mentoring as it relates to test automation process
  • Working closely with the QA manager and team in the creation of automated test scripts, automation training and process improvements
  • Acting as supporting resource for end-users
  • Responding to questions and requests related to data, applications, reports, and assigned systems’ operations
  • Recommending process improvements that improve user experience or program improvements
  • Keeping abreast of technical trends and changes by reading technical publications and attending workshops and other systems and applications related training

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, manage sub-projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to help define and implement new processes within testing team
  • Knowledge of Selenium automated testing.
  • C# Programming
 
Preference will be given to individuals with the following
  • Ability to work with and developing project schedules.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and TFS 
  • Python
